Nationals is over, and 2013 will be remembered for a number of firsts for the Championships. For the first time ever, CUC stretched to 7 days with the first 3 days exclusively for the Juniors. Both the Jr. Open and Jr. Women’s divisions had a record number of teams, with 16 and 12 respectively. We expect that this record will fall shortly as Ultimate Canada looks to increase both divisions to 16 teams in the near future. The Junior Finals on August 14th were played in front of more than 1000 spectators, which was another first.

The Wildcard Club from Vancouver started out the week right for the home town fans winning both Junior Divisions and doing so while putting on what many consider one of the best finals ever played at CUC in any division when the Wildcard boys outlasted MOFO in the Junior Open finale.

Saturday Night means Party Night at CUC 2013!

Here’s what you need to know:

  • 19 + only, 2 pieces of id required
  • Volunteers, sponsors, organizers – use VIP entrance
  • You must bus or taxi to the venue at 4000 Musqueam Ave

There will be a MASSIVE ball pit including a platform for jumping off… get there early!

CUC 2013 Shuttle Bus Info

  • Thunderbird Stadium to Musqueam – 6:30 until the End of Masters Finals (~8 pm).
  • Gage and Vanier Residence to Musqueam – From 7 pm, approx. every 20 min. Those staying at Totem or Marine Drive please walk North to Vanier to pick up the bus.
  • For players not staying at UBC, some of the buses leaving the party will go to Marine Drive Skytrain starting at 11pm.
  • Taxi Directions – 4000 Musqueam Ave.
